The industry secrets to making your training 100% effective

Want to know why some people seem to get better results from their training than others?

Maybe you feel as though you have been chipping away for what feels like forever and you still don’t have glutes of steel or those gorgeously rounded shoulders you’ve always desired? You don’t want to be one of those gym-goers that is at the gym every day, for months on end making absolutely no changes.

The good news is, in this post, we are going to give you some seriously awesome tricks of the trade from personal trainers to enhance your training to get you those results faster!

When it comes to getting results, it isn’t just about what you do in the gym that counts, it’s just as important what you do OUT of the gym too.

Are you ready to soak up some new knowledge and maximize those gains?

Here goes…

BCAA’s for your intra-workout

While you are training, it is important to keep well hydrated, this is because your body needs water for every chemical process it completes, and when you are working out, there is an awful lot going on which needs water. A lack of water can also cause cramps and dehydration. If you really want to maximize the effectiveness of your training then add some BCAA’s (branch chain amino acids) to your water when you train. BCAA’s are the building blocks of protein and they help to boost muscle growth and enhance exercise performance. You’re giving your muscles an influx of exactly what they need when they need it most. You can also take BCAA’s after your training too to help with recovery.

Recommended: A flavoured, powdered BCAA supplement usually tastes great and encourages you to drink more water.

Protein for muscle!

The myth that protein shakes will make you MASSIVE is rubbish unless you go for a mass gainer of course. Every time you have trained, whether you are male or female try to consume a quickly absorbing hit of protein, such as a protein shake. Your body will utilize it immediately shooting it to those tired muscles which are screaming out to be repeated. If you want to get more muscle tone then this should be a staple part of your training regime.

Recommended: Whey isolate protein powder

Nail the nutrition!

You can’t out-train a bad diet. No matter how hard you are training in the gym, no matter how many PB’s you are getting if you are putting garbage into your body then you won’t get the best from your workouts. Look at your body like a supercar, you take care of it, put in the best fuel and it’s going to perform incredibly. When it comes to nutrition, ideally you need to keep your choices clean. Lean protein sources such as fish, tofu, chicken etc. Green leafy vegetables with every meal and carbohydrates need to be smart. Slow digesting carbs such as sweet potato and whole grains are better choices for digestion and a steady release of energy.

Recommended: A tailored nutrition plan to keep you eating the right foods at the right times.

Get enough rest - put your feet up!

Yes, it’s true. Resting is an integral part of your training regime. When you are resting, this is when your body has a chance to repair and grow back stronger from all the strain you have been putting it under. Training every day can be detrimental to your progress. Try to get two rest days a week to give your body a good chance at recovering. Sleep is also a hugely important factor in recovering properly after training and is imperative for your success. Ensure you are getting enough sleep every night.

Recommended: Most adults need between 6 and 9 hours of sleep every night.

Training hard is a great start when it comes to achieving the body of the dreams, but it doesn’t stop there. If you are serious about getting results then you need to be ticking every box. You need to treat your body and training as a project you need to put time and effort into every day. Leave no stone unturned!
